Congratulations to the All the Winners on November 4 ! All candidates endorsed by the the Eleanor Roosevelt Democratic Club won election or reelection in the November 4, 2008 general election.
Democrats to Control Albany Members of the Eleanor Roosevelt Democratic Club lent their support to regional candidates in an effort to take the majority in the New York State Senate. Propelled by a surge of new voters, and we like to think the efforts of our Club members and members of other Democratic Clubs across the State, Democrats did indeed win a majority in the New York State Senate on Tuesday, November 4, putting the party in control of both houses of the Legislature and the Governor’s office for the first time since the New Deal. What can you do now? The election may be over but the hard work continues. Now is the time to get involved and stay focused on achieving all the goals this election has set within our sights. The Eleanor Roosevelt Democratic Club is the official Democratic Club of New York State's 74th Assembly District, Part D. It is located on the east side of midtown Manhattan, New York City and includes all or part of the neighborhoods of Kips Bay, Murray Hill, Tudor City, Turtle Bay, UN area, and Midtown East. The Club serves our community by working with elected officials, community groups, and neighborhood associations. We also identify, interview, endorse, and elect Democratic candidates for local, state, and national office. To learn more about us, please click here. We hope you will join us and get involved!
